Launched by IIM Indore in 2011, the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is the first of its kind in India.
There are three sections in the Aptitude Test:

Age: Candidate should not be more than 20 years of age by August 01, of the year appearing for the exam (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given).
Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in the last two years or be appearing in the current year.
Eligibility: Minimum 60% marks in Class X and XII (55% for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender). Candidates must have passed Class X/XII not before 5 years before the year in which IPMAT is written.

Now, depending upon whether a student is in 11th grade, 12th grade, or has completed 12th grade, the preparation strategy will change. Students in 11th grade must complete the syllabus before finishing the grade. This includes learning the fundamental concepts, practicing questions on each topic, developing reading habits, and building a strong vocabulary. This will give them more time in 12th grade to revise concepts and practice sectional and mock tests, which are necessary to crack IPMAT.
Students in 12th grade and those who have completed 12th grade must dedicate 4-5 months to building the fundamental concepts and then to practicing advanced questions asked in sectional and mock tests. These students are advised to apply the reverse approach to learning: first write sectional and mock tests, then analyze the tests to identify weak areas, and finally revise the fundamental concepts as per the requirement.
Every student aspiring to crack IPMAT must learn the art of classifying the questions into easy, moderate, and difficult categories, attempting easier questions first, moderate ones later, and skipping tough questions. Using this approach, a smart student can score more marks than those who get stuck on tough questions and run out of time for easier ones. Solving previous years' questions (PYQs) of IPMAT as well as CAT can prove to be the key to your success.
